The strategic session of All-Ukrainian Association of Court Employees took place with the support of the EU Project Pravo-Justice
On October 14-15, the strategic session of All-Ukrainian Association of Court Employees took place in Lviv with the support of the EU Project Pravo-Justice.
The two-day workshop was aimed at facilitating the AUACE members to develop the vision of its development in 2024. They would also summarize their activities and assess the existing state of affairs within the framework of the event, talking, in particular, about the difficulties and problems faced by employees of judicial institutions.
Head of the NGO "AUACE" Natalia Korol underlined that for the first time from the moment of its establishment, the Association’s Team worked on strategic goals live; and expressed gratitude to the Project for its care and support.
"Given how young our organization is, holding such an event has been of great importance. Thus, the strategic session has become a place for creativity and communication in the atmosphere of trust. Everyone has had the opportunity to express their point of view or offer an idea. It’s been very important for us to understand not only what we should do, but also decide what we shouldn't do, since people are our most important resource, especially in war conditions," Natalia Korol believes.
According to Anna Adamska-Gallant, Key International Expert, Judiciary Component Lead, EU Project Pravo-Justice, intensive building of institutional capacity of AUACE, as a successor of the Model Courts Initiative, is ongoing, which is clearly seen from the current strategic session with the participation of the Association’s members.
"The Association’s activities are also gaining momentum. After all, more and more committed, proactive, and ambitious court employees are joining in. I am sure that in the future, AUACE will become the force that will qualitatively change the system "bottom up", said Anna Adamska- Gallant.
In her turn, Country Manager of EU Project Pravo-Justice Oksana Tsymbrivska assured that the EU Project Pravo-Justice would continue supporting the development of the Association and joining its initiatives that would contribute to the development of judicial administration in Ukraine.
"The All-Ukrainian Association of Court Employees promotes better quality of judicial services in Ukraine and professional growth of court employees. It is a platform that provides an opportunity to collect and summarize the problems of court administration; defend professional interests of court employees; and exchange best practices, while doing all this using transparent democratic mechanisms", said Oksana Tsymbrivska.
The event was moderated by Olha Hulaia, strategic business development consultant.
As a reminder: the All-Ukrainian Association of Court Employees was established in December 2022. In January 2023, the SJA, the EU Project Pravo-Justice and the NGO "AUACE" signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The document, in particular, refers to the joint implementation of best practices for promotion of ideas aimed at the development of justice; establishment of international professional connections; representation of interests of court employees and the judiciary, when forming the state policy.
