Experts analysed the process of implementation of the new version of the Code of Administrative Justice

On August 28-30, a monitoring mission of the EU Project Pravo-Justice, in charge of analysing the process of implementation of the new version of the Code of Administrative Justice, paid a working visit to Dnipro.

Mission composition:

• Virgilijus Valancius, international expert
• Inna Liniova, operations officer
• Semen Kravtsov, short-term national expert

The mission also included Alexei Savchuk, a member of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Justice Reforms Council.

The experts met with representatives of the Main Directorate of the State Fiscal Service in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, State Customs Service and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration. In addition, a workshop was held with the participation of judges of the administrative jurisdiction of first and appellate courts.

During the meetings, the main aspects of the reform and its interim results were discussed, as well as the issues of the limits of judicial review, discretionary powers and the peaceful settlement of disputes and mediation.

Experts conducted a survey to gather information to further analyse the state of procedural law reform.
