EU Project Pravo-Justice provided protective equipment for Ukraine's justice system
Ukraine justice system continues to operate despite the war waged by Russia and addresses it.
To advance its resilience, including safety of prosecutors, judges, court staff, and personnel of the State criminal executive service, the EU Project Pravo-Justice has provided the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine with protective and communication means. The most recent major first delivery comprised bulletproof vests, helmets, satellite radios, and regular walkie-talkies
The second batch of EU aid is expected soon. The total cost of protective and communication equipment amounts to EUR 500,000.
As a result of Russian armed aggression, many personnel of justice institutions, prosecutors, including those documenting and investigating war and other atrocity crimes, judges, court staff, and personnel of the State criminal executive service continue to operate at the forefront of or close to hostilities. Together, these justice system bodies continue to work and perform their usual and war-related duties in an extremely difficult humanitarian and security environment.
