EU Project Pravo-Justice II continues to contribute to the work of Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group
EU Project Pravo-Justice II, continues to contribute to the work of Atrocity Crimes Advisory Group (ACA), a mechanism created to support the General Prosecutor of Ukraine and the entire national system and reinforce efforts to further accountability for atrocity crimes in the context of Russia’s ongoing war of aggression against Ukraine.
Today, on 17 June 2022, the Project represented by Mr. Erik Svanidze (who leads its Team) together with other contributing partners carried out a joint visit with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova and relevant prosecutors to one of the atrocity sites in Brovary District of Kyiv region.
ACA, as consolidated support from the European Union, the United States and the United Kingdom brings together multinational experts to provide strategic advice, operational assistance and training as needed in areas such as crime scene and forensic investigations, drafting of indictments, collection and preservation of evidence, operational analysis, investigation of conflict-related sexual violence, and co-operation with international and national accountability mechanisms, and other areas of specialization.
