New procedural codes discussed in Odessa

EU Project "Pravo-Justice", Ukrainian Bar Association and the Association of Judges of Commercial Courts of Ukraine continue to discuss the implementation of new procedural codes. This time the roud table was hold in the Odessa Commercial Court of Appeal, on July 27th. This is the third event in the framework of the planned cycle of discussions. The first and second events took place in Lviv and Kyiv.

The discussion was attended by international experts of "Pravo-Justice" Bert Maan, a lawyer, former judge, Remco Van Rie, Maastricht University's law professor and Jean Lagadeque, a lawyer, a lecturer at the University of Paris.

"Also during the summer, we conduct a survey among the legal community regarding implementation of new procedural codes. The experience of interpreting the new codes by judges and practicing lawyers will be taken into account to improve the relevant legislation. This survey is good feedback mechanism, so we will do it in different regions of Ukraine ", - said Team leader of "Pravo-Justice" Project Dovydas Vitkauskas.

Enough time has passed since the entry into force of the new procedural law and the launch of the Supreme Court, so it is possible to identify certain critical points that require changes or improvements.
