EU Project Pravo-Justice Handed Over Computers and Office Equipment to HCJ
On October 6, as part of the strategic partnership, EU Project Pravo-Justice handed over office equipment, in particular laptops and copy machines, to the High Council of Justice, for a total amount of more than UAH 1.35 million.
This will contribute to strengthening institutional capacity of the highest judicial governance body.
“EU Project Pravo-Justice will continue providing expert and logistics assistance to the High Council of Justice as its strategic partner in the identified priority areas; in particular, the Project will contribute to the speedy restoration of the HCJ’s disciplinary function. The creation of Disciplinary Inspectors Service, which necessitates a logistics basis to ensure its sustainable operation, is in the center of our attention,” said Oksana Tsymbrivska, Country Manager of EU Project Pravo-Justice.
Sector Manager of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, Alban Biaussat, noted that for the EU, the rule of law issue is the most important aspect of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
“Despite the terrible consequences of the war, Ukraine demonstrates excellent results in the context of the implementation of European integration recommendations, including judicial reform,” he said.
For his part, Dmytro Lukiianov, Deputy Chairman of the HCJ, thanked the EU Project Pravo-Justice for many years of support and expressed hope for further intensive cooperation.
The representatives of the Project and the EU Delegation to Ukraine also discussed with the HCJ members cooperation plans for the near future and identified some priority needs to be covered to allow sustainable operation of the HCJ.
