EU Project Pravo-Justice provided modern IT equipment to the Interdepartmental Working Group (IWG) of military specialists under Office of the Prosecutor General.

The equipment was provided within the scope of comprehensive support of the Office of the Prosecutor General, namely the IWG, in the investigation of war and other international crimes. The equipment is expected to ensure a safe and effective working environment for the constant exchange of information, which is important for the investigation of these types of crimes, between the group of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, investigators, analysts, international partners, experts, and members of the IWG. Besides, the Project also contributed to equipping the Situation Room.

Oleksii Khomenko, First Deputy Prosecutor General, Asier Santillan Luzuriaga, Head of Section “Good Governance and Rule of Law” of the EU Delegation to Ukraine, and Oksana Tsymbrivska, Team Leader of EU Project Pravo-Justice, took part in the meeting on the occasion of the equipment handover.

"We are very grateful to our partners for their comprehensive support for the purposes of proper pre-trial investigation of war crimes. We promise, in turn, that we will do our job until completed," said Oleksii Khomenko.

For his part, Asier Santillan Luzuriaga thanked the Office of the Prosecutor General and the military specialists for their daily work and particularly noted their high professionalism.

"The work you have been doing is very important. After all, its idea is not just to collect information, but to have it collected in order to track where the attacks are coming from, identify those responsible, bring them to justice, put them on the dock, and eventually restore justice. It will not be easy, but the time will come. I am sure of it," said Asier Santillan Luzuriaga.

At the same time, Oksana Tsymbrivska, Team Leader of EU Project Pravo-Justice, emphasised that the Project will continue providing comprehensive support to the Office of the Prosecutor General in the investigation of war crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice.
