APEO, with the Support of EU Project Pravo-Justice, is Launching a Professional Development Programme for Private Enforcement Officers

Within the framework of the grant issued by EU Project Pravo-Justice, implemented by Expertise France, the Association of Private Enforcement Officers of Ukraine is starting the implementation of the programme “Improving the Professional Development System of Private Enforcement Officers in Ukraine”.

The project is aimed at creating a sustainable, modern, and institutionally capable system of continuous training for PEOs, which will ensure their high professionalism, increased efficiency of enforcement of decisions of courts and other bodies, and greater public trust in the justice system.

In particular, the project provides for:

  • updating and equipping the Centre for Initial and Continuous Training of Private Enforcement Officers with necessary;
  • improving the online continuous training system;
  • developing and launching video courses;
  • organising international conferences, webinars, and trainings;
  • preparing educational and methodological materials;
  • monitoring and evaluating training outcomes.

It is worth mentioning that the project will last 10 months and will cover at least 340 PEOs and over 300 assistant PEOs.

“The strategic partnership between the Association of Private Enforcement Officers of Ukraine and the Project Pravo-Justice, within the framework of the grant programme for continuous training, is opening new horizons for the professional growth of PEOs. The implementation of this initiative will become a catalyst for some qualitative changes in the field of enforcement, raise the standards of legal culture and delivery of services,” stated Oksana Rusetska, Head of the Association of Private Enforcement Officers of Ukraine.

“Professional development of PEOs is not only about improving skills, but also about building a strong, responsible self-governing professional community. Such a community operates in accordance with European standards; ensures effective enforcement of court decisions; and works in the best interest of individuals and businesses. By supporting this development, we invest in trust in justice, strengthening the rule of law, and Ukraine’s progress on its path to European integration. That is why this is one of the strategic priorities for EU Project Pravo-Justice,” emphasised Iryna Zharonkina, Enforcement and Protection of Property Rights Component Lead at EU Project Pravo-Justice.
